I have long believed that work should never be one's hobby. In that case, one's hobby would provide no diversion from work. Work should instead be a means of supporting one's hobbies.
I have a variety of hobbies. Those include:
- Spending time with family and friends, one in particular
- Shaggin' - The Carolina and Southern definition! If you don't already do it, try it! You might like it.
- Down hill skiing - he has skied many of the major resorts in the U.S. His favorites are Alta, Taos, Copper Mountain and Whistler/Blackcomb
- Bridge - ask Neil about "The Hand"
- Listening to Beach Music - He prefers the fast ones and those with a bit of a salsa-type rhythmic beat
- Reading - fiction and nonfiction
- Listening to audio books - its a great way to make driving easier while evaluating the things that work in other people's books
- Walking on the beach
- Putting the top down and listening to strong music such as The Prayer by Bocelli and Dion while cruisin'
- Boating - rivers and lakes
- White watering - raft, canoe, kayak, funyak
- Almost anything competitive - even curling, seriously
